A great deal of forum chatter, of late, has been non-knife related. I thought, with the holidays upon us, as well as hunting season, etc. it might be a good time to talk about those "Randall Knives"!
What would you like for Christmas? Which hunting knife would you prefer? Which camping knife would you prefer? What do you have that you would (Perhaps...Maybe) have wished were another model or blade length or metal material, etc...???
Just some "knifetalk" for a change.
What say you?
Merry Christmas,
Capt. Chris

I once owned a 12-9 with 14 grind, ivory handled, that I acquired in 2004 from Perry Miller.
It had a Rick Bowles scrim of an eagle visiting Mt. Rushmore and David Perdue engraving.
I sold it in 2007.
I wouldn't mind getting that back for Christmas with today's interest in engraved and scrimmed Randalls.

Just got off the phone with Duke McCaa and am sending him a couple of finished RMKs I had made for him...in "MUSK OX"!
Here's one of mine. I hope to make it half of a "pair" in the future by getting a Model #2-8" to match it!
Stay Sharp,
Capt. Chris

Here's a 12-9 w/model 14 grind. Ivory with silver trim. The neat part is the second sheath in rhino leather.

I've had a hankerin' for a model 23, and now have one order from one of the dealers. Just have to sit tight for . . . what, ten or twelve months?

I'd also like a traditional Bowie - maybe a Nordic Special. I do like that English Bowie look. Maybe a 6" Sportsman's with a double guard? Probably not a 9" Sportsman's, but you never know.

Hey Captain,

I like the 23 or 3-5 with gnarly stag or 25-5 with ironwood for a hunting knife.

What about a 3-7 or 4-7 for a camp knife?

If I was asking Santa for any Randall knife, it would be a model 18 with a model 14 blade, sawteeth, all stainless, including the hilt and the buttcap, and the rest of the options available. Don't know if Randall made any in this configuration, but if they did,I'd love to see pictures of it.
