I shall "try" to remain impartial throughout this process...cause it's "your" build. I'm just the vehicle.
As to "fighter-vs.-others)...A Model #12-6", as I have shown does "not" have the double hilt. It would make a decent all-around user.
A #7, in either blade length, would be excellent as well and (although it would use up 1 option) can be had with the #6 blade grind, making it more "surgical" for kitchen/refined work.
The #22 I posted last just has sooo much standard equipment that it could really be customized (like in a "build") it would serve us well. I posted it as the stainless, nickel silver, thumb notches, crow's beak butt cap are all standard..."& I also posted it as someone referred to a preference of a 3/16" stock knife...
For all 3 posted....just sayin'...
ITSUP 2 U,
Capt. Chris

Nice ol' #7. Here's 2 of my "users" with the #6 blade grind...

I didn't make mention of it earlier (in this thread) but I agree with the preference for a 3/16" stock knife.

That 22 certainly checks a lot of boxes out of the gate.

I went to the Lakeland, FL, show last month for the first time and Jim Lyons put this Model 8 in my hand.
Somehow it got packed in my suitcase for the trip back to Colorado.
It had interesting options and just appealed to me.

I like your style pappy! A 6 inch Sportsman's is my personal favorite..."&" one of the most difficult knives the shop makes. The reason is "no choil" and keen edge has to be maintained (and sharpened) "all the way back" to the hilt.
Best, Capt. Chris
