Captain,
I have the Randall Handle Material spec sheet.
Could / should these specs be used as a guide for stag or other horn material?
I realize the spec sheet is for rectangular blocks and obviously stag or other
horn material is not rectangular. Do specs exist for stag??
Thanks,
Tony

Measurements for a Model #1-7", in stag, musk ox or anything else sent to the shop in a "round" (or close to round) state is 4 3/4" long and 1 1/4" in diameter. In other words, the longest measurement of a rectangular block. I hope that makes sense.
Best, Capt. Chris

Red and white is not available. Red,white and blue is available at no additional charge. All black is also doable and no charge. Brass and red or brass and black..Aluminum and red or aluminum and black...all 4 are available and a charge of $10 is applied...and it is considered one of your 5 options.

1 1/4" X 1 3/8" X 5", because of the single finger grip. "ANY" Randall handle dimension has to be increased to the next size "larger" when ordering any special handle shaping, "except" the standard shape or finger grips.

Is the aluminum buttcap a chargeable option when you are getting a micarta handle on a 2-8?

On A Model #2, YES !

Why? The Micarta material can be finished out with a plain end. i.e. No butt cap or plate. Whereas a leather handle requires a butt cap to compress and hold the leather in place. Therefore the butt cap in your example IS a chargeable option.

I've been through this before.
