Thanks, Scott--I didn't realize that. As best as I can remember, I got it in the 80's, and don't recall any mention of squared hilt in the catalog...

When I first started in 1983 the following were standard squared hilts...

#'S 5,11,12-6 L/B,19,20,21,22 and 23's...

As a note of interest...I believe you'll notice that ALL the knives that I mentioned had T/N as a standard option "back in the day"...man!, I'm much too young to be using that term again!!!

Thumb notches used to equal squared hilt...

Thanks, Captain, but I'll keep it because it's one of my only two Randalls with 'Old Yaller' handles.
