Based on that assumption early 1970's to 1977ish. Is the hone stone unmarked? rodbrown Knife Enthusiast Registered: 12/11/05 Posts: 2144 Loc: Ontario, Canada	Rex My memory is like a sieve, but reading Sheldon's timeline the first salmon coloured stones came out about 1975 and were unmarked. If you got the knife new from RMK, with that stone, that might help with dating the knife. If you bought the knife second hand, hone stones can be changed fairly easily. If I was to guess about year made, I would be in the 1975-77 range. But we all know first in last out, when it comes to RMK components. In my first post I typed the incorrect years.
