Quick and simple question:

Would it be within reason and reality to have a cover sheath, (Model E in Randall catalogue) sheath made for my Model 3 5", with standard half guard?

It does outstanding service as a user knife, but I feel that it would be even better with an open sheath, maybe even a dangler?

I have several Randalls that I carry in pouch sheaths. The Randall shop does not offer pouch sheaths as a rule. Exceptions are:
* Model #25-5"
* #26
Most everything else would have to be ordered elsewhere.
Hope this helps, Capt. Chris

Most definitely. Much easier to use than a Model A or B, particularly when you have a backpack on. I wish this option was available for more of the models than it is.
Great question !!!

Thank you gents!

Yes from a user/practical point of view it could be an improvement.

Obviously I want a nice leather sheath that is up to the quality of the knife, so I came here for some advice.

Would it be ok to ask here for advice concerning a third party sheath maker that is up to the task, or is that a topic for another forum?

Randall's authorized sheath maker is on this forum. Let's hang tight and see if he chimes in on this subject.

We can do such a sheath , would need the knife to mold it and it would take 2-3 months.
