Also regarding the cattleman... I thought I had seen someplace where the shop won't work with G10 anymore. I haven't had much luck finding info on that in the search now that I want to know smile So my question is:

Will they use G10 that is submitted by the customer, or will they not use it at all?

Thanks, everyone.
Chad

G-10 is still doable...Yours (or mine) only. The shop does not carry it. They also will not install compasses in it. It tears up belts, bits and blades...saw blades, that is. The charge for having G-10 (or G-3) installed is: $65.00. This is just one of the reasons my Challenger "Mission Memorial" knives saw such a large price increase this past year. Along with all of the other options (like $10 more for nickel silver butt caps), and a $20 price increase for basic Bowies, the total costs increased over $70 per knife. Hope this helps.
Best, Capt. Chris

Chris, If you have a knife on order with the shop and want to change the sheath style, I know that I would pay for different sheath but is there a change charge? Oldguy

I'll check. I was at the shop today and could have asked but I'll get the answer soon. Changes to the knife itself result in a $35 charge, I believe. Good question.
Thanks, Capt. Chris

Capt,
Is the #14 style double brass hilt doable on a #1 and does it count as one of the five options?

Capt,
Can you get the #3 with the top bevel sharpened and does it count as a chargeable option?

Jerry:
Upcharge for a sheath...but "no" order change charge.

Jimmy:A) I have had thick hilts before on Model #1's.
B) TB (tp bevel sharpened) is a chargeable option. Cost is: $20.00
Hope this helps,
Best, Capt. Chris
