Late 70's early 80's red fibers were red till we shaped them, then they turned out to have a gray center to them...that's right, the red fibers turned gray with a very slight red on the outside of the gray...u can see the red if you really look close...
Also the center blue fibers were a grayish blue with more gray tint than blue...

Was this due to the sanding/ buffing materials back in the day? Sorry if this was discussed before. I always thought it was faded from age.
