On the 'Nam era 1-8, if it were me, I would put something in the want to buy section of this forum. I expect that there are folks here who may have what you're looking for. I would definitely not try to buy one on eBay unless you really know what you're doing. There are folks here you can trust to sell you the real deal. Not necessarily the case on the eBay where sellers may or may not know what they're doing and may or may not be honest.

Ebay is the place with 500-600 knives available on any given day. I have purchased 100's from there!

Jim, you should check out Tune's web site, or just PM him, he may have what you want.

I have a Model 1 - 7 stag, 1966 on ebay, but it isn't the 8" you want. I know Capt. Chris had a nice one, but I think he sold it.

Here's Mitchells (tunefinks) website. I'm pretty sure he has what you're looking for. Better to deal with a forum member too, that everyone knows and comes well recommended. Some of his knives may not be listed on his website, so check with him!

Thanks Max but I believe Rufus is the one looking for the VN era 1-8. I have recently started getting interested in the "vintage" Randalls but am leaning more towards the hunters than the fighters for some reason.

Thanks to everyone for the guidance and advice on finding a vintage 1-8. I purchased one Friday along with a new 1-8. I will post pictures as soon as I receive them. Thank you Mitchell for all of your assistance. I cannot believe that 4 weeks ago, I did not own a Randall and now I have 3. Talk about getting in your blood.
