Wow, Wally and Lori. Both y’all’s photo and your #2 are amazing works of art. I’d so much love to hold it in my hand for awhile. It just looks like it would feel at least 1/2 as good as it looks. I do love #2’s. Thanks so much for posting guys.

Thanks Duke. You are right, it does feel awsome in your hand. It feels like a good solid chain link from the early 40's. It is more cigar shaped than commando shaped.
No initials. (insert your favorite word here) on another forum Jeff McCartney said he recognized the knife and remembered building it, that he "got into a lot of trouble" mixing up spacers.Now, if I could just find out about this one..
This is a neat pair I think. Both of these knives are double SS marked, and when the "knife of the week" thread started, both of them were pictured on page 1 of the thread. I want to say that was about 16 years ago. They haven't changed much, but the patina on the brass of the brown micarta example is a bit darker. Neat, almost Ironic they were on page one here, and came together 16 years later.
