#8 is black micarta, 7 spacers, JRB with a white "Bear" SP-13. #9 is Rosewood, very nearly perfect, I think it has a yellow print stone with it. #10 is an Ebony handled deep choiled more "triangular" blade that I suspect is from around 1958, + or -, and unmarked stainless steel. I've done the cold blue test on it, it passed, so someone above my pay grade is gonna have to look at it next.

Here's a 2-7 in pretty nice shape. Late 70's/early 80's I believe. Plain salmon stone and a great fishtail handle.

New poster here... some great photos & information!!

I do have a question on production figures for the model 2 that were made during the Vietnam period. Does anyone have a good guestimate as to how many were made? Actual figures or percent.

Thanks so much!

One thing I have often wondered about is what time period qualifies as the "Vietnam period" ?

Mixed thoughts:
Vietnam War - Nov 1, 1955 – Apr 30, 1975
Vietnam: U.S. Advisors 1955-1965. The U.S. military advisory effort in Vietnam had a modest beginning in September 1950, when the United States Military Assistance Advisory Group (MAAG), Vietnam, was established in Saigon.
Vietnam era - February 28, 1961 – May 7, 1975 for Veterans who served in the Republic of Vietnam during that period
Otherwise August 5, 1964 – May 7, 1975

In September-October, 1965, it was announced to San Diego Navy Boot Camp that the war was escalating and we all were headed there.
