Good question wally. This is only a guess, but I would say the ricasso stamped version but it could be an insignificant difference. I think RMK became more well known as the war trudged on, thus more requests for the model 2 into 1933-45. Again, only a guess.
Thank you Fairbairn. Ebony is not the only thing going for it. It has a small stamp, some deep choils, a nickel silver hilt. The blade appears all original with absolutely no sigh of corrosion having ever been present. I'm talking myself into believing it may be stainless, but unmarked. Only 4 months to BLADE.
