Wow, Wally and Lori. Both y’all’s photo and your #2 are amazing works of art. I’d so much love to hold it in my hand for awhile. It just looks like it would feel at least 1/2 as good as it looks. I do love #2’s.
Thanks so much for posting guys.

Thanks Duke. You are right, it does feel awsome in your hand. It feels like a good solid chain link from the early 40's. It is more cigar shaped than commando shaped.

Wally,
Are there any "initials" on the knife? (Like a "W"?)
Nice, Capt. Chris

No initials. (insert your favorite word here) on another forum Jeff McCartney said he recognized the knife and remembered building it, that he "got into a lot of trouble" mixing up spacers. Now, if I could just find out about this one..

This is a neat pair I think. Both of these knives are double SS marked, and when the "knife of the week" thread started, both of them were pictured on page 1 of the thread. I want to say that was about 16 years ago. They haven't changed much, but the patina on the brass of the brown micarta example is a bit darker. Neat, almost Ironic they were on page one here, and came together 16 years later.
