RMK does not put many FG's on too many model 2's, so I don't remember any other way to place the grooves. Am I missing something here? I guess I could see them not being down when on the trademark side bothering a collector that planned to display it in a specific manner, but as a tool (which is what it really is... we have made them collector's items) the FG's on either side wouldn't make any difference in my mind. I just received this one today and think it is really pretty. I would love to keep this one but my wife is about to put me in the Time Out Box. Swordsman Knife Enthusiast Registered: 09/23/05 Posts: 629 Loc: USA Michigan	I have a Model #2 8" (that GTR repaired the tip on and repolished). He really liked the knife, Sighted down the blade several times, was smiling pretty good. Still I think the Model #2 7" is a beautiful knife and would love to own it or a new one like it. Guess I like the NEW and the OLDER stuff, LOL! Tom V.
