Just picked this 5-4 up a week ago. I was going to flip this knife but once I handled and saw the stag in person I cannot see me getting rid of it now! Gotta love that knarly red stag!

Know that feeling well, probably 90% of my collection was purchased with the intention of flipping...Hey that's really nice, I'll just throw that in the safe and flip the next one

WHOA Ken!!! That's a really "Classy" looking #5! Very Nice. BTW, do you take these photos in a light box? Nice even lighting with no hot spots (reflections) on the blades. Tony

Ken,
I see you've been busy lately getting a few new knives. That is some really highly figured IW and is very complimentary with the brass furniture. Thanks for posting your knife and another nice photo.

Outstanding wood is, well, outstanding.
Interestingly, my dad's definition of a knife handle is stag, stag, or stag. And, if stag is not available, then stag is perfectly acceptable. Hell, of the half-dozen Randalls that he owns, all have stag handles.
Whenever I buy a new Randall with a non-Stag handle, I need to convey its options, specifically its handle material, to him in a way that make it appear as though its handle were some form of Stag.
