Yes it is silver. I bought this knife the same day with original drawing of this knife to Bo Randall. Silver hilt also.

I have never noticed this before myself, but I think that is your favorite 8 because it resembles a Stanback Spec. blade design. It is a beatiful knife that you have there. I've got one in the old style ordered, but will wait a while yet on it to arrive.

I think Rex's knife resembles a miniture Little Bear Bowie
(Baby Bear?)

Here are my two.
The top one is stainless with thumb notches and compasss
The other is an A G Russell with golden maple burl.
Both blades are of exactly the same length but the stag one is 3/16" deeper.

I would like to thank everyone for posting their Model 8's.
We have seen some beautiful knives from past and present.

The wood handles are from Ag Russell. Golden and red maple.

A very nice assortment indeed. You guys are killing me with the golden maples. The low "S" is also making me wish I had one. They're all nice! The model 8... what a great little knife!
