“shieldless” Wharncliffe Trapper

(I felt that the last one got Kerry a little too excited)

This is very quickly becoming one of my favorite patterns! But then, aren't they all? OK, I'm weak and I admit it.

Yep Allan it is a great pattern…extremely practical. I made one of my own that I carry everyday in D-2, (except when I fly). Once you have one, use it, you tend to miss it a lot when she is gone.

More important to me is the steel. I took a production knife with me on a trip a few years back…I need to cut some sand infested rope. The knife was not up to the task by any means…a lesson I will not soon forget.

You can read a little tidbit about this knife in my user section at BoseKnives.com

But to answer your question it had been sitting up on a shelf, in parts, for quite some time. How much time?…I have no idea. I didn’t get to reassemble it until November of 2000.
