Nickel silver can be ordered rounded, but not thinned, unless they have changed things. Trust me, I have tried. Too much grinding time and wear/tear to belts, I would think.

It was a hand me down from a ranger and i used it through two deployments aswell. Sorry again guys.

That is EXACTLY what these knives are made for....Yours is a much finer example due to use, the other, non used knives!!!
Also, if I'm seeing the non lined thong hole correctly, a somewhat older model....more that likely made way before the stuff that has gone on over there recently.....I could be off, BUT I have not had my first cocktail either....

I emailed tunefink before i joined here he said it was a 63 or 64 filled hole brown micarta im new to randalls for the collecting but i know well this knife will pop a door or window and open a can in know time.

Nice knife. 14's and 15's in my opinion are supposed to be used more than about any other model - used my 14 on a few deployments too. You're pretty lucky a Ranger was generous enough to cough up his blade - welcome aboard.

He said he'd rather it go to someone whos gonna use it instead of it sitting in an ammo can collecting rust. He was my friends dad and saw how much trouble i used to get into. So perhaps the turn around in life promoted the generosity.
