"And now...we have, the REST of the story."
Thanks, gents. Makes one wonder how many times collections have been assembled with great care, broken up later, brought back together later still with even more effort, broken up again, etc.

This one is one I answered with in another thread, but no story with this one except mine own, bought new, but very old style.

The photos answer several questions others might have.

How strong is it? About as the front half of a #14, with nice useful deep primary edge. Compared to a #1 edge on right.

How fat is it? Not very. Not with a normal or finger groove handle.

How useful is it? Very. Consider all the most useful knives generally have a lot of handle for a smaller blade, best leverage and control. Just scale up the idea to near unbreakable and you have a #19. A compact Randall with more strength than a potato peeler, so to speak, and my "always" knife as in true daily wear.

I thought I would go ahead and add my new 19-5 to this thread since I couldn't find it before in the search. Just to reiterate the options:

1) O-1 Steel
2) NS hilt-squared
3) All red spacers
4) Bone Linen (Captain Chris' Stash)
5) Model 14 Deep Finger Grips
6) Wrist Thong
7) Compass
8) Custom Greg Gutcher Basket Weave High Ride Sheath w/Canteen Snap

All that with 5 charged options and it took me a while to get it figured out and stay with the max options. The "Pappy Special" if you will. Anyway, it is on my hip as we speak and will be my constant carry for a while.

Whiteman's is the OEM classic for sure. And Mike's is so unique as to appear a totally different knife, no mean feat when working with a 19. I bet Angier would have adored it.

Thanks once again Pappy for sharing a really great 19 package. Totaly contemporary design with hints of vintage features. Wear it proudly friend!

Pappy we need to get you some light colored paracord to match the handle.
That "Blonde" Sheath & handle is very sexy!!! Great creation!

Agreed, I have some hot pink paracord somewhere and need to find it and replace the green one. Thanks for all of the kind comments, fellows.
