Thanks, Chief, To all who may be interested. These 2 "Crider Specials" are fairly "pimped-out"! They feature stainless steel (standard), double thumb notches (standard) and the following "OPTIONS":
A) Sawteeth B) CW (customer supplied handle material) C) Laminated pistachio D) Model "C" sheaths, im "black"
Wrist thongs and the handle "shape" are also standard on Jack's knives. Hope you enjoy the pics...Best, Capt. Chris

I always liked the JC Special but I always wondered why it was more then the #10; must be more labor intensive to put a double edge on the blade. I use to have a Maroon Micarta handled JC special (my first JC special) but I sold it, found out later on there were only a few of them made with Marron Micarta scales. Supposedly I have the first G10 blaze orange handle JC special (according to JC), I call it the “DelMarVa surf knife” since you can see it a mile away or if you drop it in the drink. The brown waters of the Chesapeake, Delaware Bay, and turbid Atlantic Ocean can swallow good dark colored fishing tackle. I bought the G10 scales from Jim "Treeman" Behring and then sent them to JC back when he was still taking orders years ago. What a guy! Jack is a great guy and so in Jim too! Thanks Jack for all of the knives and the friendly phone conversations over the years! Cheers!

Hi I just received this 5" Rosewood special yesterday. It has a roughback smooth snap sheath, so I think it may be an earlier one. If any of the older Randall experts would chime in I would appreciate it. I just took these quick pictures last night and will try to take some better ones on the weekend. I jumped on this when I saw it, since they are no longer made and I don't see them too ofter. Peter
