Hi guys, I have a couple of questions about a non catalog knife.
Does anyone know if:
1) Randall still make the tri-athlete?
2) What it sells for at the shop?
3) Do they use stock removal method of making, or forging?
4) What do you think of this knife?
Thanks, and I hope everyone is having a great Independence day.

Let me see here
1. Yes
2. 225.00
3. Yes
4. It's a piece of sharp steel with holes drilled in it . Really I've never carried one but, they seem quite popular.

Sam, I like this knife. I think it's the best neck knife Randall makes. And, if you don't want to neck-carry, but want something that's flat and light, it does that, too!
Here's a picture of both sides of mine, also showing two sheaths. The bottom sheath is the standard one that comes with the knife, and the top is the neck sheath, a special order from Greg Gutcher. The "button" on it (left side) fits nicely into one of the holes in the handle to keep the knife in the sheath.

That is really a nice looking knife and sheath combination. I might have to consider one of those.

Even though it's an altered RMK with Ivory or fossil Ivory they look sweet!

You're right, Chief. I've seen a few with ivory, and would consider doing the same, if the scales are thin enough so the knife still fits nicely into the standard sheath.

Hi Steve, unless the scales are paper thin, the standard sheath will not work. Its just too tight with anything extra.
Incidentally here is a link to an Ivory one I did up myself. Enjoy!
