Remington 700 LR - 300Win. Nightforce NXS 12-42x56 scope. 4AW (3 port Big Bore Brake). Incredible brake - tames the heck out of that 300win and helps put the round where you're aiming.

He's got a shop in Western Australia and fabricates the brakes there. Very well designed.

Amazingly, it's not as loud as I anticipated, tolerable for a big bore, really.

And no, the rear blast isn't bad at all.

I couldn't be happier with it.

There was a day when that rifle was cutting edge....... one of the flattest shooters when it came out.
I used to drool over it, but on a marine's pay just didn't happen. Great piece thanks for sharing.

Keep meaning to revisit and edit this...

I said "big bore" a few times. Meant to say "magnum."

The brake is three-port .30 cal brake (meant for the more powerful magnums) not a "big bore" brake.

And Ps.
The brake is really well designed and manufactured and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good muzzle brake for just about any caliber (he makes them in 2, 3 and 4 port).
And more specifically, the rear blast is managed very nicely with my 300 win -- I can shoot round after round and not get blurry-eyed and head-smacked; most of the blast is directed to the sides. And it dissipates so well, it's not a dirt-kicker either. (You would not want to be standing directly to the side when the rifle is fired, but it's tame enough I can bench shoot with someone in the next stall without him/ her wanting to slit my throat after just a few rounds).

One day at the range,a young man brought his Barrett 50. Talk about muzzle brake blast!!!

Cleared 1-2 benches either side of any stuff on top! Not nice at all.

Don't why he even bothered to shoot that 50 at a 50 yard range. That does not come into it's own until 500 yards and beyond.
