Here is an absolutely stunning Single Blade Sowbelly Prototype in Mother of Pearl made by Tony. I had to crop my scan a bit to keep it at 100kb for this site. I'm still learning. This knife does not have a half stop. It is an amazing knife! Feels natural in the hand. Super sharp ATS-34 Blade. I just got this knife Saturday so I have not had the chance to use it yet. I may throw a pair of Dress Pants on just to see how she feels in the pocket! Can somebody tell me why this knife would not have a half stop? Is it because the original patterns did not? Just curious. I love it regardless!

I know some of the fellows put half stops on a sowbelly but I've never seen an old sowbelly with half stops. They didn't do it so I don't either. I've never made a sowbelly with half stops.

Thanks for the info Tony. This is my first Sowbelly of any kind and was unaware of that. The handle shape feels oh so goooood in the hand, I hate to put it down... You can't beat getting an answer directly from THE MAN! I love this site!

I you tell what. Make sure the new pants have a hole in the pocket and then come over to visit. I have some great bourbon here for you.

Seriously now, congratulations. That's a true heirloom. Enjoy it in good health, and keep it sharp.
