Hi John & All,I'm bumping this up for a show off of a new to me Tony Bose peanut,witch must be a gent's knife,too.John do you have pictures of others.This is 2-5/8" closed with Remington Bone & a 440V blade

That's a neat little knife you have there. I do have some pics, as soon as I get near a computer I will post some.

After a little thinking and being around a lot of people that know nothing about knives I think the name “Gent’s Knives” is a bit misleading. They should be called “lady and Gent’s Knives”

From the BoseKnives Catalog a Gent’s Knife is this.



This is a 3" single (ATS-34) blade trapper, Green Bone, double bomb shield.

There are a lot of these in circulation. I heave heard stores that Tony would send out 10 of these at time to certain dealers. The price at that time was $175 and they would sell like hot cakes.

When I came on the scene they cost a little more, not much luckily. Reese was selling them for $50 less and I was able to purchase this little guy for $175.
Actually I think the “Gent’s Knife” has evolved into any knife (one or two blade) that’s 3” or under.

So a Gent’s Knife could be a Trapper, SwayBack,…CoffinJack…and the Peanut.

John,Thanks for the photo & taking us back in time.So I guess it is safe to say,back then,that you spoke of,there was no "drawing" at the Bose tables at shows ?
A much simpler time,indeed.
