Boys boys lets not fight. Lets help Brandon with his question who should he have address the handling? I know he can get Bob Dozier make him a sheath. But who can you trust for a good handle for a user, so being altered should not matter to him. He is new to the Randall legend of excellence. Plus he has 2 Damascus knives he needs handles made for. He promised me the pick of the two when done. So lets get this young man helped.

Gene Beal has handled (no pun intended) all of my Triatheletes. This is one of the very first. He now uses mosaic pins, but this one has always been one of my favorites. Someone can email me if they are interested in having me get one finished for them. Gene is currently working on 5 of them for me. His work speaks for itself. The sheath is "double-stamped" because Greg Gutcher made it custom for me by including a thicker inner liner to accommodate the larger handle.
Best, Capt. Chris
PS: Bark elephant ivory is the handle material...CCS

Nice Capt. That handle material gives it a very different look.

So I got a response from Treeman, and he refered me to Scar Knives or some place on the net for Randall style specialists. He said they do not outfit tri atheletes or make kydex sheaths. So I'll keep searching. Looking for some one to make a G10 like the 1911 gunner grips or similar. Thanks for everything so far, think there was a couple leads in the thread that I have not checked yet.

Brandon,
I think Dozier Knives will make a kydex for you. You might have to send them the knife.
I have spoke to them about this at the NY knife show.
Here's their web site ...

I'm new here, but I think this is allowed since you are asking for a modification. In my opinion, this request is tailor-made for Tom Krein. I had him do something similar for me a couple years ago. Recently, he has been putting handles on Spyderco Mules for a number of people. And his kydex is second to none.

The knife on the bottom of this picture used to be a plain steel model just like the one two above it:

Sheaths from Tom:

For what it's worth, Tom got his start working for Bob Dozier and AG Russell.

Seems as though you've had him do a few, look great. Agree on the kydex those sheaths are exactly what I had in mind. What kind of price range was the handle and sheaths? Thanks for that post.
