I have always liked the Spyderco folders, the Delica is an inexpensive but very nice knife. Show are several Delicas, an Endura, a left-hand carbon fiber Police, a left-hand Military and a couple of others for you viewing.

Peter,
Cool knives! My Delica goes on EVERY kayak and canoe trip.
Salt water or fresh ... a quick rinse after use and after many years it shows no rust or much wear!
Tony

I am also a fan of Spyderco,my latest is a Uk legal carry made especially for this market as a direct result of Sal Glessers participation in British Blades forums. The Spyderco UK Penknife is available with I think its G10 or FRN handles and its a sub 3" blade non locking folder with a wire pocket clip.I picked it up at Ruffs saddle shop in Umatilla Fla this summer its so light you could almost wear it as an earing.

I met Sal at the Blade show this year and got a chance to talk to him some, they gave me the tiny knife and it actually works
They make some really nice folding knives

Here's a picture, I believe, of the UK knife (top), along with pics of my two EDC knives. When I don't have the Sebenza on my belt, the Spyderco is clipped to my pocket (as it at this moment).
This is my favorite Spyderco, the Caly 3. It is very similar to your UK knife, having just-under-3-inch blade and deep pocket wire clip. I do prefer three things about mine over the UK one: the locking blade, the carbon fiber scales, and the much harder steel (Laminated ZDP-189/420J2). However, I'd be very happy to have the UK version with me the next time I cross the pond.
(I should add that this knife seems to fit my hand better than any folder I have tried.)

That is a nice pouch for your Sebenza, may I ask where you got it.

I have my large left hand dog paw and am awaiting a small one too

Thanks
Peter

I do have a couple of Spyderco but have never been overly chuffed with the steel - I think it doesnt get or hold the best edge. Bit I do like the way they sit in the hand. Thoughts? confused

I think you really ought to investigate the Caly 3 with carbon fiber scales and Hitachi's ZDP-189 steel. I consider the Caly 3 to be Spyderco's best knife, and it is my EDC. ZDP-189 is the hardest steel I've ever heard of in a knife blade. (Rockwell "C" hardness is 66 to 67.) The super-hard ZDP-189 is sandwiched between 2 outer layers of softer steel, for strength. ZDP-189 is able to be made much harder than other steels because it uses powder metallurgy technology.

I bought an Endura back in 1993. I retired it last year and got a Salt H1. I didn't like the tip, so when I lost it I bought a Delica 4. The Ladybug is from the 1990's. It was my EDC when I worked in an office.
