I just got an older 27c-7 and would like info on it. I know very little about Ruana. The man who sold it to me said he bought it direct from Rudy in 1982. Sound correct? Is this rare? Is it still available? Any idea of value? It shows some carbon spotting and slight sharpening but overall pretty nice. Its not for sale, but I would like to know if I over paid for it.

thanks

It is a R.H. Ruana but without the "M" stamp which puts it right in line with the 1982 year. It is a Model 27 "Finn" which is still made today but with a totally different "Ruana" stamp. Value on yours being pretty used is about $200-250. It is not rare. http://www.ruanaknives.com/
