Hello, silly question here.

Is it possible to get the Model 11 3 1/4" or any of the (skinners 11-4", 19-4 1/2, 23-4 1/2) with a 27 handle, or is that handle still only on the 27. If I could get it on the 11-3 1/4 how many options would that be on the model 11 3 1/4?

I Thank you for your time
Bruce

If you are speaking of the "13 spacers" and 2-tone metal hardware, it is "strictly" available on the #27..No exceptions! Best, Capt. Chris

Charged option? If so, how much?

Thanks Capt.

The #6 grind is not available on the 7" Model #4. Sorry: If it were available it would definately be a chargeable option and it would count towards your 5. The Randall shop will not forge just one or two blades. They usually forge 50 or more at a time.
At this particular time, being as they are 5 yrs. behind...and 13 weeks behind on shipping schedule, this knife and option will not be offered. I hope I made that "clear" and not "murky".
Best, Capt. Chris

CCS,

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't that part of the decision behind the Glades Hunter 4-6 #6 Grind?

Best,
Warren

Warren,
I'm not sure what you mean by your question. The "Glades Hunter" was a 6 inch and had only been forged, in the past, in O1 Swedish tool steel. Gary Randall graciously agreed to forge these particular blades for this project in stainless.
Does "that" answer your question? Best, Capt. Chris

Capt Chris could you please tell us what options are available with the Model 6. I've seen pictures of what looks like a #6 carving knife without the fork and steel, with a single hilt and a sheath. I think you recently posted a picture of a heavily optioned #6 in the hunting season thread.

Model #6-9" Carving knife comes with a reduced nickel silver hilt. It is usually accompanied with the fork, steel and 3-piece felt case. There are several options for this set. Besides stag, green, maroon or black micarta, several woods, your ivory, etc. You can also order metal spacers. O.K. You get the idea.
"MY" Model #6-9", Large Filet Knife, starts out with the same stainless steel 9" blade, but incorporate a nickel silver single hilt and a tan sheath. It is a bit more pricey, but each piece is invoiced individually, i.e....If you want a fork..an extra $70. Same for the steel. 3-piece felt case? $40. I'll try and find a photo and post it up here. I still think mine is the way to go. You can always use it for a carver, but can carry it with you for "outdoor" purposes!
Best, Capt. Chris

Here's a "really tricked-out" one. Buckeye burl (#22 style), etc. and a black sheath.
Best, Capt. Chris
