Found another Model 1 8

Does anyone know when RMK started first offering Lugged Hilts as an option on Model 1's?

A very nice Model #1! Purely a guess, but I would think lugged hilts could've been ordered by 1954, though probably gained popularity on fighting models when Vietnam began. What's your handle's material?

Eric, that's a nice Low S!!!

I have been looking for a 50's Model #1 with a lugged hilt for several years. My earliest is in a brown button sheath, brown micarta with a nickel silver lugged hilt.

Tune, do you know of any 1950s APFKs with lugs in the 50s?

Wally, Black Micarta that now has a greenish tint. I am guessing single brown Micarta spacers.

Tune, Sweet nickel silver lugged hilt. Does the brown button sheath have a blue text stone?

I don't recall Eric. I am on a job-site in St. Joe MO. I have been here two weeks with two to go. We are opening a new warehouse for our company. Bad timing, huh? Life on the road sux more with COVID.

Tune, I hope someone there is taking temperatures of the employees each morning. Stay out of the porta potty and keep your hands away from your face. This COVID has no boundaries. All non-essential construction has been shutdown here in Michigan.

The 1959 Catalog says the lugged hilt is available on other than standard models, (12 & 13)
