It is swapable (?) but I'm not sure about an even swap. I think it is...if it is Randall shop-supplied stuff. As far a wrist thongs go. Some like 'em and some hate em'..."BUT"...(I know...I know) it is a bit of work to drill, install the tubing ferrule and trim/polish etc. I think a charge is not out of line. Hope this helps, Capt. There is more work involved with the lanyards due to the aligning and drilling the holes. The process is harder than it looks. I'm sure the shop could make lanyards standard on the knives for a $20 price increase. oldguy

Leatherman, for me I like the wrist thongs when I need it, but when I don't need one they are in the way. Maybe one day someone will come up with a retractable lanyard that stores in the handle.
