If you put a single apostrophe - ' - in the text of your posts you will most likely end up with an empty post (or PM).

If you really want to put one in you can type in

' (the first character is an amperstand , ie over the 7 key)

This is an issue with the forum software and the version of php on the new server.

I'm either going to code a fix in or go ahead and upgrade the forum software depending on which ends up the best route but is going take a bit so please be careful not to use an apostrophe in the meantime.
